Mission Statement Partners In Ministry’s mission is to nurture, equip and unlock the potential of youth and children; to empower and strengthen families; and to build and sustain healthy communities through academic enrichment, spiritual growth, advocacy and coordination of services.
Instilling Hope and Empowering Change, one family at a time” by helping to break the cycle of generational poverty in struggling communities and building and sustaining healthy families.
Through our programs, we partner with local churches and community organizations to expand access to education, young adult mentoring, urgent home repairs, and coordinated referrals for additional services and support. By working collaboratively, we strengthen families, stabilize households, and equip individuals with the resources they need to thrive.
Partners In Ministry, a National Mission Institution, has served the community for over 19 years. Our SYSTEM after-school program supported 489 students in grades 3–8 with STEM enrichment, tutoring, and career readiness. Upward Bound served 60 students through college tours, cultural activities, and advising, with 80% of seniors accepted into college. The JCPC program engaged youth in mentorship and service, contributing 800+ volunteer hours. Our ROAR Department repaired 42 homes for families in need, and the Resources and Referral Center distributed 274,564 lbs. of food to the community.
Since 2019, Partners In Ministry has been growing to serve more youth, families, and communities in Scotland County. Our planned multi-purpose facility—including a gymnatorium, youth center, counseling suites, and updated computer labs—will centralize our programs, creating safe, engaging spaces for learning, mentorship, and personal growth. This hub will allow us to reach more people, strengthen families, and continue transforming lives for generations to come.
