The Partners In Ministry middle school group took advantage of a county school teacher workday to provide another enriching experience for program participants.
The Main Event offers a plethora of engaging experiences that your child won’t be able to enjoy anywhere else. There's a laser tag arena, an incredible arcade with over 100 games, including both classic and modern options. There are also bowling lanes geared for players of all skill levels.
On the PIM campus, our middle school students are diving into an Esports program that goes beyond just playing video games. They're gaining hands-on experience in various technologies that contribute to creating, supporting, and promoting video games, as well as virtual and augmented reality applications. While the students enjoy gaming, they're also exposed to a broader understanding of these technologies, including game design and development, software and hardware aspects of gaming platforms, networking for online play, and digital marketing for games and events.
By incorporating Esports with an emphasis on technology, we’re preparing students with skills that can translate into fields beyond gaming. From learning about graphics and coding to understanding the business side of Esports, the program aims to highlight how these technologies are integrated into the everyday lives of adults in areas like advertising, entertainment, education, and even workplace training. This comprehensive exposure ensures that students not only have fun but also develop valuable skills that could open up future career paths in tech-driven industries.
